We always had a soft spot for Carl “Robert De Niro” White. If there was one character that had scope to be properly developed in 2013, it was him. We believe he really could have been the next great ‘villain’ up there with Steve Owen – intelligently manipulative and genuinely threatening. Alas, it wasn’t meant to be.

Admittedly, we may have been one member of a comparatively small group of fans but there was no denying that Carl enjoyed a good sense of style almost as much as he enjoyed a fine plate of pasta at Beale’s restaurant. Here is a round-up of the clothes we ID’d.

Carl’s Jumper With Contrast Red Cuffs

Carl loved to dine out, so we regularly saw him enjoying a meal. We received quite a bit of interest in his jumper pictured above and we ID’d it as from men’s fashion label Farah, from their Farah Vintage range. Eagle-eyed viewers will know this is a brand regularly sported by Mick Carter (Danny Dyer).

Carl’s Gold Eagle Black Polo Shirt

When he wasn’t dressed smart-casual, polo shirts were the order of the day. We’ll say this for Carl – at least he appeared to have far more polo shirts than Joey Branning at the time, who seemed to live in the same two for ages!

Carl made a brief appearance during the 9th August episode of EastEnders wearing a new addition to his polo shirt collection, by premium brand Lyle & Scott.
