Soap Fashion Round-Up: September 2016

Priya and Tracy wearing the same jacket in Emmerdale and Corrie

Where to buy the clothes & outfits seen on Emmerdale, Coronation Street, EastEnders & Hollyoaks in September 2016.

As the site has happily grown in popularity since its humble beginnings as a hobby (thank you), we have concentrated our spare time on finding, ID’ing and writing about as many items of clothing in soaps as we can. This has meant that we’re not always able to reply to individual requests. However, we read every message and do our best to get details for the most popular items as quickly as possible!

Hello! This is an old roundup from 2016

So without further ado, here’s a quick round-up of what we found this month, including info on some items you asked for but we haven’t yet featured…

Hollyoaks

We received lots of requests for Esther Bloom’s gorgeously vibrant floral jacket (details).

Holly Cunningham wore her blue a-line skirt just before the carnage of Freshers’ week and a very thought-provoking episode.

Joanne Cardsley wore a mint green horse print shirt that has already been seen in another Soap. Neigh!

Mercedes McQueen can add another failed wedding to her list. Such a shame after buying this posh frock.

We answered calls for Disco Queen Lisa Loveday’s ombre sequin jacket.

Emmerdale

We added more fashion finds to our Emmerdale section this week:

Priya Kotecha had better not run into a certain other Soap character whilst wearing her black and white blazer!

Holly Barton wore a lovely yellow lace dress during a shocker of a week on the ‘dale.

Nicola King made her SoapStyle debut wearing a scarf print blouse whilst playing Private Detective.

Now a firm wardrobe favourite, Megan Sharma’s lace panel shirt got yet another re-wear.

Tracy Shankley wore a lovely floral skater dress with bardot neckline (details).

We don’t have an ID for her red dress, but you might like info on the one Priya has worn previously here.

Tracy’s pink floral jacket made another on screen appearance (details).

The feisty character also wore a grey cropped sweater with pretty floral print that we were asked about (details).

We do love a good Soap wedding. Viewers wanted to know where Carly Hope’s lovely pink jumpsuit was from and we obliged.

Kerry Wyatt cheekily repeated her blue floral bodycon dress for the occasion.

Clothes worn in Emmerdale, Coronation St, EastEnders and Hollyoaks in September

Coronation Street

The fashion wasn’t as noteworthy as usual during Corrie in September, but Maria did her bit:

Whilst her trench coat was still popular, we finally got an ID on Maria Connor’s lovely angel sleeve shirt with contrasting floral print panels (details).

Maria re-wore a geometric flower print top that we were the first to feature here back in 2014!

Eva Price dug out her leopard print shift dress from 2014 (details).

We caught a glimpse of Sarah Platt’s painted square top here almost a year to the day when we last saw it on screen!

There was yet another outing for Sarah’s khaki green hobo bag, which she appears to have become quite attached to (details).

Sophie Webster wore her suedette mac whilst very reluctantly helping Maria search for Caz (details).

Sinead Tinker left people both bemused and amused by her clear raincoat on Monday.

One of Alya Nazir’s boldest wardrobe items to date; her zebra print top was seen on screen again.

Erica Holroyd continued to demonstrate her love of statement blouses.

Audrey Roberts was her usual stylish self earlier in the week in a black and white mixed animal print blouse.

Also making another appearance was Audrey’s popular spot batwing top, shortly before riding off over the cobbles with Freddie.

Both Alya and Rana sported new outfits in Coronation Street. Rana Habeeb wore an upside down (!) palm print shirt that has already been seen on another Soapland character…

Alya Nazir was rocking the pyjama-style trend in a navy satin jacket

…and later hatched a blackmail plot whilst wearing a cactus print shirt. Who knew she could be so ruthless?!

Maria Connor wore a striped jumper in a colour combo that shouldn’t work; but it does.

EastEnders

Not much in the name of new outfits recently in EastEnders, but there were a few notable ones:

It was a tough week for Denise Fox… at least she was cozy in her blanket coatigan! We think this may be an older item and don’t have an ID as yet (update: details here).

Belinda Peacock’s retro-inspired style continues to be a hit, with her orange print wrap dress making another appearance (details).

Whitney Dean wore her popular black & white shirt dress whilst attending her first baby scan with Lee (details).

Carmel Kazemi wore a smart geometric print blouse (details).

We think Lauren Branning may have got the inspiration for her son’s name from the ‘Saint Louis’ t-shirt we first featured her wearing back in 2013. It was briefly seen again on Friday after a long spell in the wardrobe archives (details).

Honey Mitchell channeled her inner 70s girl with a floral bell sleeve top.

Whitney Dean wore her pink and black stripe shirt again.

Looks like the end is nigh for Stacey’s kitchen wallpaper now that they’ve all moved into Sonia’s old gaff. It’ll be interesting to see what she replaces the leopard print with!

Bright yellow really suits Kim Fox-Hubbard and we found her tropical print dress available online.

Additionally, with a sparkly wardrobe big enough to rival Linda’s, Kim sported an eye-catching gold sequin jacket for Masood’s ‘surprise-not-surprise’ leaving party.

Staying with the Foxes, Denise’s grey coatigan remained in hot demand throughout the week.

Lauren Branning’s most popular jumpsuit ever made another appearance on Tuesday.

Sharon Mitchell seems to alternate between walking in/out of the Mitchells’ kitchen and telling Phil off at the moment. But hey! At least she looks smart doing it whilst wearing one of her many wrap-over blouses.

Mick & Linda’s now iconic parrot and flamingo wallpaper in the ‘Vic caused another wave of enquiries from curious viewers.

Roxy Mitchell wore her palm leaf shirt as a jacket again.

Abi Branning got caught bunking off work whilst wearing her 2015 pink onesie with butterfly print.

Pam Coker wore her black and white floral cardigan with lime green trim whilst making a life-changing decision.
